Thistle Character bio: Thistle is actually has a fraternal twin but his little sister is several years younger and not ready to bloom. Tula-Dil is not his mother but in fact his older sister and frequent babysitter He is very moody and enjoys life in the garden his best friend is a young girl named Lyme.

How much does underwear weigh anyway?

I did not exercise ot watch my food intake ALL of December. It was my Xmas present to myself...plus what the frell is the point at Xmas??? It's the season of mini quiches and Quality Street...pear cider and pizza...so go my Xmas food traditions! I weighed myself on the 1st of December just so I could see how much I gained throughout the month. I don't really make a habit of weighing myself...it's too depressing doing it every week if you haven't lost...too slow and I soooo don't have the patience. I think on average I weigh myself once every month or so...I see better progress that way.
Anyway, people bought me CHOCOLate for Xmas. I should have remembered that they know that I LOVE chocolate...of course they all know that I am eating better and have lost weight but they don't really understand my chocolate NEMESIS.
I gave up smoking 5 years ago and that was EASY...really easy...surprisingly easy. If I had to give up chocolate completely...well... I would rather start smoking once more and then give THAT up again.
See...here's the thing... I put all my chocolate away in the cupboard in DATE order and thought...hey...I can just make it last ALL year...yay!!!! I don't have to buy chocolate for a whole year...did I mention they bought me a ton??? However, it just CANNOT work that way. I cannot just dole it out a piece at a time...nice and organized...sanely and calmly...nope...if it is in the house I must eat it. It sat in that cupboard and MOCKED me..waving its sticky little chocolate fingers at me..wafting its warm milky scent in my direction everytime I opened the cupboard to get a sesame seed bar...it CALLED to me.
When it is not in the house I am fine. I don't need it...I don't think about it...I don't even drool over it on aisle 3 at Tesco...it just doesn't EXSIST for me.
BUT...put it in a tin...wrap it in a ribbon...place it in a box all nestled up in fine crinkly brown paper and the monster awakens...release the Kraaken...call out the dogs...MY PRECIOUS!!!!
I have such great will power...I have lost the weight on my own...I drink maybe 1 glass of alcohol a week. I don't smoke anymore. I don't eat microwave food or salt laden pre-packaged shit.
Chocolate is my bloody NEMESIS!!
What happened you ask yourself??? Well..I didn't THROW it out because that would be a waste.
I didn't GIVE it away as that is a whole other RANT about re-gifting.
AND
I certainly cannot DONATE it to Dave as he doesn't really have a sweet tooth.
SO I DID THE ONLY THING A GIRL CAN DO IN THIS SITUATION.
I ate it all.
Notice how I didn't shout that last line??? So shamed am I.
Yep...I ate it all...at first it was lovely. A guilty pleasure...then I got a bit sick..and eventually it became a CHORE...just one more piece girl...you can do it. My own staying power...my own will...working AGAINST me...oh the irony.
Yesterday morning I stepped back on the scales. I felt fat but that's probably all in my mind.I sort of squinted with one eye and balancing lightly on my toes...naked as we all know how many pounds clothes can add!!! Then I sucked it up(not literally) and got back on properly.
I had gained only THREE POUNDS!!! Fabulous...that's like not gaining at all...it's just the +/- percentage...I am happy but I still remember that DARK chocolate feeling and I know that I can never let it pass over my threshold in such pretty packages and ginormous numbers again.
SO people...please...DO NOT BUY ME XMAS CHOCCIES!!! BEWARE...

2009 Was an amazing year for toys and I wanted to share my top twelve must haves.

In No particular order:

1. Vinyl Ugly dolls: These are super cute mini posable versions of all your favorite ugly dolls packed in blind boxes. There are twenty five in all 12 GID ice bats, 12 regular figures and 1 chase red fangs Wedgehead. Created by David Horvath Sun-Min with love. They run from 8-10 dollars. 2. Masters of the Universe Classics Teela: The MOTUC line is very popular with collectors but up until Teela it was all male. This figure blew me away with articulation all over the place, an amazing face by the Four Horsemen, and flawless paint apps. 3.Transformers Animated Blackarachnia: Lets face it fembots rule and Blackarachnia is no exception. Through the years there have been several versions of this character but this one best defines her. The sculpt is very female, very sexy and posable as both a fembot and a evil giant spider. You can still pick her up at most retail toy stores like target and toys r us.

4. Figma`s Juno from Fireball: If you don`t have a figma yet I suggest this one. She is a little robot girl from the disney channel in japan. She comes with TONS of accessories including five different hand sets, a book of mystery and many different helmets. She has all of the articulation you would expect from Figma and a surprising cuteness for a girl without a mouth. This figure will run you from 60 to 100 bucks.

5. Kid Robot`s Futurama Bender: Who needs am upset, agitated, cigar smoking robot? I do!! Bender is not the rarest figure in the set but her is by far the cutest. He is blind boxed so to get him for sure you will have to buy a case or just keep trying like I did. They run about 10 bucks. http://www.kidrobot.com/

6. The Old Navy Dolls Kat: You read that right Old Navy the affordable clothing store has a doll!! Well they have 6 or 7 in the series. Kat is about 13 inches tall and made of vert durable plastic. They feature big eyes, great hair, and best of all really well made clothing. If you like more expensive dolls like Blythe you will love these especially at 15 dollars a pop available at select Old Navy stores.

7. Littlest Pet shop Hippo: The LPS line features hundreds of different animals from kittens to bumblebees. Most of them are cute enough but the hippo is by far the cutest one I have seen. It will run you about 5 bucks and is available at most retail stores.

8. SDCC Green Blank Muscamoot: This lake monster is just thee right mix of cute and monstrous. They were a special comic-con edition but the full painted version will be available next year. You can find more info at: http://www.thelakemonsters.com/

9. Kamar Tanya doll: So Kamar dolls were made in the mid 1960`s and they are very hard to find now a days. This one is in the review because well more people should know about these. Super cute, very photogenic and kitschy beyond all other dolls. (Sorry Blythe) You can participate in one of the bloodbaths on Ebay. But be warned Kamar prices are all over the place.

10. Mini Dal By Jun Planning: Dal is Pullip`s more interesting rival. She comes in a 12 size and like the one in the picture a smaller 4 inch size. Surprisingly the 4 inch Dal is just as detailed as the larger one minus some articulation. Definitely worth the price they run from 20 to 60 bucks and can be purchased online at: http://www.thevalleyofthedolls.com/

11. Treeson and other stories blind box figures: Treesons are ghosts of dead trees! A very sincere story book was made by Bubi Au Yeung and up until this set only the treeson`s themselves had figures. I love every figure in the set from Ren (pictured) to the newspaper boy. 12. A custom Blythe doll: Blythe dolls are amazing and overpriced. I would recommend a stock doll from Takara but unfortunately the stock dolls are full of flaws from bad bangs to scratched blush. This one was customized by artist Tingesiha who is currently on hiatus, but you can search ebay for an array of different customizers. The best thing about customs is that they are all different and having one around will make people think your edgy.
